Prompt Guide

Prompting is directing. These patterns turn sentences into visuals.

General prompting tips

Krea 3 reads prompts like an art director’s brief. Lead with subject and setting, then add materials, lighting, and mood. One clear instruction beats five vague ones —"a ceramic pour-over set on walnut, soft window light" beats "a beautiful image".

  • Subject first: "A ceramicist shapes clay on a wheel" before style words.
  • Name the light: "golden hour rim light", "softbox from the left".
  • Anchor the frame: "centered composition", "rule of thirds", "top-down flat lay".
  • Keep it to 1— sentences; the model fills in texture and detail.

Text in images

The image models in the studio render legible type —posters, labels, signage. Put the words in quotes and say where they live in the frame.

  • Use quotes: the neon sign reads "OPEN LATE".
  • Anchor placement: "printed on the label", "chalked on the board", "projected onto the wall".
  • Keep it short —two to five words render cleanest.

Multi-reference editing

Image to Image keeps a world consistent. Mention your references explicitly so the model knows what each image contributes.

  • "Keep the person from image 1, relight with the mood of image 2."
  • Cover angles: front, side, and detail shots beat three similar frames.
  • Name the role: "image 3 for color palette only".

Conversational edits

Edit in plain language —the studio’s models follow instructions instead of reimagining the frame. Keep the prompt stable and change one variable per run.

  • "Same shot at dusk", "remove the logo", "make the jacket red".
  • Change one thing per run so you can see what moved the image.
  • Use batch generation to compare 2— variations side by side.

Video prompts

The Seedance video family takes the same brief discipline —lead with subject and action, then add camera language like "slow push-in" or "aerial orbit". Generate a still on Krea 3 first when you need the opening frame to be exact.

  • One camera move per shot: "slow push-in", "orbit", "handheld follow".
  • Reference stills hold characters and style across generated clips.
  • Short prompts win —describe the action, not a storyboard.
